Coach Legros is also the 2001 recipient of the coveted Sloan Public Service award for excellence in teaching. His Judo School at Starrett City is a product of the NYC public school system and the Office of Community Relations. Coach Legros has produced some of the nation’s top athletes, with students ranked among the top 3 in the U.S. for almost a decade.
